BRUNNER INTERFACE AND CONTROL.
A core element of modern solutions in the field of automation technology are powerful communication and control systems. Highly standardized and modular, these intelligent interfacing systems connect the numerous components of a complex system.
When connected to industrial PCs (IPCs), which must meet special requirements, efficient, powerful and reliable overall systems are created.
BRUNNER has proven and long-standing experience and expertise in the development, production and support of such technologies and products. We develop our own products as well as individual and customer-specific solutions. We pay particular attention to the use of EtherCAT® technologies, which are characterized by high performance, low wiring effort and openness to other protocols.
CUSTOMIZED IPC SOLUTIONS.
BRUNNER supports its customers in developing a solution for the required IPC systems that is optimized for the overall system.
We carry out the needs analysis for our customers‘ IPCs, advise on the layout and design, evaluate solutions available on the market and, if required, also offer the configuration and production of individual and customer- or application-specific IPCs. By using Windows 10 IOT Enterprise, we also provide access to the digitalized applications of Industry 4.0.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS WITH SOFT-PLC.
BRUNNER IPC solutions always offer features that common IPCs do not have: these include interfaces such as real-time EtherCAT® and fail-safe circuits, which enable application data to be saved during a power failure. Other design aspects take into account any human-machine interaction that may be required; here we can also implement ergonomic graphical user interfaces on the IPC, which are operated via a touch display, for example. With soft PLC solutions such as TwinCAT or CODESYS, time-critical and complex real-time applications can be optimally implemented on our customers‘ systems.
CAN AND EtherCAT.
At BRUNNER, we have in-depth knowledge of today’s leading communication and networking technologies. We therefore support and use the Controller Area Network (CAN), which has become one of the standards in automation technology due to its interference immunity, low costs and real-time capability.
We also have special expertise in the professional application of the EtherCAT® protocol. Real-time capability, flexibility and operational reliability are outstanding features of this technology.
GATEWAYS AND IO DEVICES.
BRUNNER has prepared its entire product portfolio for use in a powerful and consistent EtherCAT® or CAN architecture.
This architecture impresses with maximum flexibility combined with the highest performance and minimal cabling effort.
A simple connection between Ethernet and CANopen can be established using various BRUNNER gateways. The gateways also offer numerous digital and analog I/O options for CAN or EtherCAT®.
Our CANopen Commander software is a powerful application that simplifies the configuration of complex CANopen devices. Various device-specific plug-ins are available that enable simple and quick parameterization. A special feature is the flexible expandability using optional plug-in modules.
