FROM MAY 3rd – May 5th 2022, THE WORLD AVIATION TRAINING SUMMIT (WATS) TAKES PLACES IN ORLANDO, USA. BRUNNER, AS A MEMBER OF EPIC GAMES’ ANTOINETTE PROJECT TEAM, CONTRIBUTES TO THE SUMMIT BY EXHIBITING THE PROOF-OF-CONCEPT NOVASIM VR FLIGHT SIMULATOR WITH THE UNREAL ENGINE AT ITS CORE.
Summit participants have the opportunity to take a personal test flight on the Project Antoinette’s demonstrator system and experience the highly realistic flight experience and deep immersiveness provided.
Based on a high interest in industry to use Unreal Engine for Flight Simulations, Epic Games has created the Antoinette Project, a comprehensive set of resources to support the creation of the next generation of flight simulators. By extension, these resources also support the many types of vehicular simulators in development today.
The Antoinette Project demo, a proof-of-concept flight simulator with Unreal Engine at its core and additional technologies from Meta Immersive Synthetics, BRUNNER and Varjo. The demo illustrates the trend of immersiveness and deployability as well as development guidelines from the information paper. The demonstration marks a step forward for next-generation flight simulators that can serve a variety of purposes, bringing the opportunity for flexible, customizable training that can serve large numbers of pilots at once.
The World Aviation Training Summit (WATS) is the world’s largest aviation training event, designed by and for aviation professionals. It brings together the global aviation training community and will deliver three independent and impartial conference streams alongside the sector’s biggest trade show.
